North Dental Studio, Ontario, Canada
North Dental Studio will open in Waterloo Ontario, Canada, in early 2023. Dr. Sukhjit Singh wanted to create a clinic that was modern, welcoming, and would stand out from the crowd. He used a minimalist aesthetic, comfortable furniture, and greenery.
The clinic was selected because it is close to the University of Waterloo, where many of its patients attend.
The clinic is located on the ground level of a mixed use building. It has seven treatment rooms, an X-ray panoramic room, a sterilization room and lab.
Interior design features
The interior design by prop Architecture, Toronto, combines warm walnut textures and deep forest greens in order to create a calming atmosphere for patients and staff.
The waiting room includes comfortable seating, artwork, decor and live plants.
Treatment rooms are designed for comfort and relaxation. The sleek, ergonomic dental chairs are equipped with televisions that allow patients to watch their favorite shows during their appointment.
Designers chose a glass enclosure for the tool sterilization centre to create a feeling of spaciousness, while also allowing light to filter into the corridor to create a bright environment.
